Celebrating Attendance

Despite all the challenges faced, attendance was really good this term with our year to date attendance currently sitting at 94%.

With 59 pupils on roll, this term we have had 20 students achieve 100% attendance and 38 students achieve 95% or above.

Richard George, Acting Headteacher, said “We know that regular school attendance is important for pupils to achieve and succeed. Pupils who regularly miss school can fall behind and never catch up.  We also know how difficult just coming to school can be for some of our young people who have had negative experiences in the past, so this is a fantastic achievement and proof that staff and parents are doing a great job.”

All pupil’s attendance was celebrated today in an end of year assembly where they received a certificate of attendance.

Lotty Storer, Key Stage Pastoral Lead added, “You can continue to help your child achieve 100% attendance by working with school to ensure that any issues that may be preventing them from attending regularly can be addressed, contacting us if your child is ill on their first day of absence and taking an interest in their school work.”
