21st September 2022

GAGE’S HEADSHAVE

A pupil at Longdon Park School decided to shave his head in aid of not one, but two charities supporting Mental Health.

Gage said of his endeavour, ‘I just felt like helping people, particularly children who have experienced trauma.’

Gage braved the shave on 8th April 2022 the last day of term before the Easter holiday.  He had amazing long hair which took him nearly three years to grow.  This has now been donated to the Little Princess Trust to make a real hair wig for a child who has experienced hair loss due to cancer or other illness.  The monies raised through donations from family, friends and school will go to YoungMinds for fighting for young people’s mental health and the total amount raised was a whopping £550!!!

We hope the weather warms up for Gage and think his new look really suits him.

Everyone at Longdon Park School thinks Gage is a hero for doing something so selfless and warm-hearted.
